The best UNI intown
I've been to so many sushi restaurant in Chitown. They have the BEST UNI intown!!!! try superwhite tuna and scallop - so good. Friendly staffs, reasonable price, nice atmosphere. Izagaya = Japanese Tapas, small portion, just what I want.

maybe i'm just a purist, but --
while the tempura is edible (how wrong can fried prawns go? wait, i don't want to know), the maki (or sushi) there don't really make the cut if you're looking for authentic japanese cuisine. it can be summed up as western food wrapped up in seaweed with badly-disguised pan-asian pretensions. also, portions are not very large.

My favorite place for sushi in Chicago!!
Wonderful sushi. And not just your run-of-the-mill sushi. A really interesting menu. Must try the Ganmo soup!!
