Directly across the street from the Civic Opera House, so a good location for Lyric Opera goers. Spacious and nice looking dark wood interior with lots of outdoor seating as well. I wouldn't plan a business meeting or intimate dinner here though as it's so loud you can barely hear the person next to you much less across the table, but if you're here for the food rather than conversation, you won't be disappointed (providing they're making what you want that day). When we finally found food they were making that day it was mostly delicious, albeit overpriced (for example $15 for a marinated beet salad and $10 beer). The drunken seafood pasta made with Sam Adams Lager was great although it wasn't served over a bed of angel hair pasta as the menu stated, but rather over thin spaghetti instead. Other recommended dinner choices are the wild Scottish salmon and the overnight braised short ribs. Service was friendly and attentive - no complaints there. One final note: This restaurant is open for Saturday dinners only if there is a Saturday night opera performance.

Went there with a group of friends during lunch. My friend and I ordered the Prime New York Strip it tasted like they had not cleaned the grill in days. The steak was also not very tender and hard to cut even with the steak knife. That basically ruined my entire meal. I will have to say that I did order the sweet potato fries and they were great and the smashed potatoes that came with the steak were also good.

I love this place. Please try their sweet potato fries. And they have the most amazing turkey burgers. A great spot for lunch. The drinks are good too. Try a mojito.

What a great find during our last trip to the windy city. A very beautiful dining room with cherry, wonderful food both delicious and presented with care, and the service was certainly adequate.
