Great food and service not enough!
The chef produces some of the best food in the city. The service is knowledgeable and efficient. The environment is visually satisfying, but also conversation-challenged. As for "atmosphere," the owner proves toxic. Terminal fault: the owner says to diners as they're leaving that the wine they sent back was not corked. What's to be gained from that attack, even if the diners were wrong? In this case, among the three diners in the party who agreed it was corked, there are private cellars valued well into six figures. I dare say, the proprietor's nose and palate are not equal to those three heretofore devoted patrons. No worries. Some of us in the party will not be returning to this brasserie. No more "wasted" wine for the owner on our accounts. Furthermore, we can't possibly recommend Old Town Brasserie to the many friends who value our opinions about where to dine.

Disappointed a second time
I really think the last straw was the nectarine salad last night which was tiny, unimaginative and with some perfunctory nectarine and some green. Wheras most salads are around $7 the special nectarine salad was $13... and was absolutely not anyones money's worth.. I am not happy. Duo rack of lamb and beef was mediochre. Service was excellent and atmoshere too. next time i will order cheap: otherwise too to disappointing. My guests had desserts which they did enjoy. Chloe
