I'm a Regular...
I eat here frequently, and for a reason: the food is good, service is good, atmosphere is pleasant, food comes quickly, and it's modest in price. Very busy at midday--so a lot of people seem to agree with me. The steamed gyoza, Thai iced tea, and tom yum soup are among my favorites...but the menu is very long and most items are very good. Noisy at midday; maybe they need a better ceiling treatment? But worth it.

Best consistent cheap eats in Hyde Park
Noodles presents a long menu of entrees from $6 - $9 where everything is consistently good. The food is always flavorful, fresh, and prepared well. The service is attentive and the restaurant is always clean. I do not think you can get much better bang for your buck in Hyde Park. I go here frequently when in need of a cheap meal or just in need of satisfying an intense desire for Asian food. I personally would gladly pay a couple of dollars more for their food; I think they are underpriced.

one of our favorites
I love Thai food, and this place does the trick. The best part is its location - so much closer to campus than the other 3 Thai restaurants. Service is really fast and friendly, and the food is on the cheaper end for the large portions of such flavorful dishes. The red curry and pad see ew are our favorites.

quick fix for U of C students
Good ambience and service, OK value. A short walk from U of C campus. However, if you're looking for authentic taste, you should just drive to Chinatown.

fast food
Noodles is a Pan-Asian restaurant with more emphasis on Thai food. The service is acceptable if you use simple English, and the food is delivered to your table very quickly. It reeks of fast-food, however. The quality of the food itself is mediocre. It's definitely not authentic Thai. The atmosphere is usually bustling and noisy, so if that's your thing... The pad thai and pad se-eu are probably their better dishes. The curries are not very good compared to a real Thai restaurant.
