    NY Pizza

I'm a NYer ... and this is probably the closest you'll get to a NY slice. The owner is nice. He apparently used to have a shop in Manhattan many (many) years ago. This is a regular spot for me.

    Great pizza for Chicago

It may not be as good as you get in NYC but it's as close as you'll get in Chicago. Plus they're really nice and they delivered to me in east Edgewater. I couldn't beleive they would come that far.

noli's: no new york but good enough

order from here a fair amount due to cravings for an east coast pie. BUT the service is poor. They have a gal who botches orders every time i order. I ask for a pie & she says we don't have pie (!), I've been told they'll deliver to my neighnborhood once and then the next time they say they won't. we're less than a 5 minute drive. It's not cheap per se' but, like i say, it does the trick. In truth, however, it wouldn't stand a chance back in jersey or ny. there's just not enough happening with the flavor to warrant it. It's basically as good but no better than your average but not great corner joint in new york / new jersey / etc. I just tried ordering and the phone rang for 10 minutes. They need to get the customer satisfaction sorted. Until someone can point me to solid east coast style pizza on the north side, i guess i'm stuck.
