I was in to N9NE Steakhouse last week for dinner and had a great meal. We sat in a comfortable booth and ordered up tasty appetizers: rock shrimp with two dipping sauces, lobster bisque, and perfectly fried calamari. For an entree we had a filet, cooked to perfection, and a deliciously prepared halibut filet. For dessert we shared a fluffy and decadent chocolate bread pudding. Chef Michael does it right and our service was excellent. Fantastic wine list with several wonderful selections that won't break the bank. Overall, a delicious dinner experience, and we will certainly return again. Fun, upbeat atmosphere, and stop up to the ghost bar lounge upstairs for an elegant nightcap. Really cool and fun atmosphere!

I love this place. The Salmon is so good and so is the lobster bisque. I've tried the steak and thought it was mouth watering. The atmosphere is really nice. I've only been during lunch, but would love to go for dinner. Highly recommended.

After hearing all the hype about this place, I was generally disappointed. (Admittedly, most of the hype revolved around it being trendy but not necessarily having great food.) First, I think that the size of the plates are way too big. I know that's an odd complaint, so let me explain. Trendy restaurants are often places where going-outers go for dinner before continuing on to bars, etc. What you expect at these types of places should be very tasty dishes (even if the plates are small) so you don't fill up and feel like a fat cow in food coma. Instead, this place offers the requisite trendy atmosphere, however nothing special in the food except excessively large portions. In fact, I found most of the dishes to be rather fattening and bland.

My husband and I have been big fan of Nine since they opened. Love love love their Miso Black Cod. When Nine advertised they have free happy hour appetizers from 5pm-6:30pm. We went there last night, their free appetizers mean free cheese and crackers. What a disappointment!

I have been to the nine on several occasions. I have been with my co-workers, on a date, my mom's birthday and friends. The food tops all of the steakhouses' in chicago and I have tried all of them because I love steak. I highly recommend Nine. The service is great and it attracts all types of crowds for any event. I have not really enjoyed the ghostbar but the restaurant is the best. I go to Nine at least 7 times a year and I love it!

This place is great. Out of all the steak houses in Chicago this is one that actually stands up to all the hype. Steaks were perfectly cooked and the sides are worth every penny. Great wine selection as well. I will be back very soon.
