Pretty good food; absolutely disappointing delivery service
I enjoy Nathan's food. Their hamburgers, corndogs, french fries, jerk chicken...it's all pretty good, especially when you're in the mood for junk food. But I have to warn you: when you make delivery orders, they will probably be wrong. Nathan's REGULARLY puts condiments on their sandwiches that you specifically request not having. Occasionally, you will be missing part of your order when it arrives. Frequently, the order will come in anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour after you were told it would arrive. Recently, an order was late by an hour, I called, and was told it would be there in ten minutes -- another hour later, I was still waiting. Never once has the restaurant offered any sort of compensation for these frequent and abysmal failures of their delivery services. So, while I recommend the food, I'd recommend going there yourself. Relying on their staff for delivery is asking to be met with incompetence -- you will NOT get what you paid for except on rare occasions. Buyer beware.

First Time Try Loved it!
I just ordered delivery from Nathans, 7/25/09, and I have no idea why this place has bad reviews! The prices are amazing and the food quality was really good too! Everything was hot and the delivery was prompt! And they don't skimp - I was given plenty of everything. I ordered a medium hawaiian punch which was huge - I was expecting a smaller cup so that was great. A Jamaican beef patty - not the best I've ever had but pretty good for a college student. An order of mozzarella sticks (came with marinara sauce) - delicious and hot! The cheese fries were crinkle cut (no seasoning :( ) with nacho cheese. And I had a gyro as well which was really good. The only thing I didn't love was the fries which were bland and unseasoned with not enough cheese to compensate.

Missing in action
The cod was missing, moist beans & rice were missing,but replaced by dried up rasin looking beans with crunchie rice, however the plantains were fried to perfection.

Good chicken...
Solid Chicago-style take out. Go for the jerk chicken dinners with plantains. If you're looking for dine-in though, just go to Calypso, its a dump inside and I don't think there's even seating in the place.
