The dogs aren't bad but far from the best. I could think of several places i would prefer. However in all fairness i would eat here again . i would just request no lettuce on a chicago style dog.

Service was great the man staffing the counter was outgoing, helpful, and hilarious. Dogs are good but a little thin you may want to order two (or stick around to see if you're still hungry for a second). Fries are all the prior reviews said they were and more. Freshly cut, perfectly browned, totally delicious. Ask them to go *light* on the salt, and they'll still probably be saltier than you'd have them by choice, but BOY are they good.

I am a hot dog freak and I can tell you Murphy's is the best Chicago style dog I have ever had. Get the char dog w/ everything, fries and a root beer. Perfection! The beef with cheddar cheese is pretty awesome too and the fries are great. Friendly service tops off the experience. If you are a hot dog fan, Murphy's is a must.

The Crown of best hotdog has always been owned by Weiner Circle and Demon Dog's. When Demon Dogs closed, we were all forced to go to Weiner Circle, but then we found Murphy's. The hotdogs are virtually identicle to weiner circle, but unlike weiner circle, the fries are better, goose island drinks, and they have a much larger menu, and it's not saying much, but the service is much much better, for the best hotdog experience in chicago, Murphy's is your best bet

This place is GOOD! It was the first time I tried a chicago hot dog (I'm from out of town) and I have to say: I am quite impressed. You can get your hot dog boiled or grilled (I like grilled better) and get all the toppings on it. An easy, no frills place w/ a cute place to sit. The fries are from real potatoes and real good. The workers are friendly and nice...overall, I really enjoyed my chicago hot dog experience here :)
