Times have changed
Its been about 17 years. Morries held fond memories for me. There was the best corned-beef, pastrami, and fresh bagels on Sunday mornings. I've moved back to Hyde Park and at my first oppurtunity for a hot deli sandwich, I was met with much disapointment. The service was fine but what came out on my soggy rye bread had no relation to the sandwiches of the past. More grilled onions than pastrami and enough mustard (yellow---yuck!) to make it all a gooey mess to eat. Another thing: when ordering extras like cheese, onions, and tomato (which was not put on my sandwich) expect the price of your meal to almost double!

Best Sandwich in Chicago
Very high quality at a very reasonable price. Fresh meat prepared to perfection. I have been eating out every meal everyday in Chicago for 24 years and Morry's is a Gem that needs to be discovered. The service is very efficient, you can order your sandwhich and get your food within a minute. Unbelievable triple decker sandwhiches, corn beef, and pastrami. Extensive menu that offers anything you would want. High recommend!

DELI-cious
I eat here every day, sometimes even twice. And I've tried EVERY restaurant in Hyde Park. Great sandwiches. Great value (read: hot dog deal - $2.50 for hot dog and fries). If there's any way I can sum this place up: They don't ask you whether or not you want "anything on that?", they ask you "EVERYTHING on that?".
