Disappointing
In town for the weekend, and needed to grab a quick dinner my first night here. This place seemed to have decent online reviews, and be a piece of the city's history, so I decided to check it out. I was seated promptly, and the waitress was friendly and efficient. But just as I settled in, I got a whiff of what smelled like rancid mop water. It didn't permeate the place, but just as I would think the smell had gone away, it would return. Nauseating. The food arrived and was mediocre, at best. The greek lemon soup had an odd texture. The fish and chips were soggy, not crunchy. And the tartar sauce had a very strange powdery taste. If you are in the area, hungry, and there is nothing else open, try it. Otherwise, I'd opt for just about any other restaurant in the area.
