Great place for lunch
We dine here for the first time last weekend. Food and service were both very good. Definately sit in the bar area to get the full experience of Ditka's.

Great Value, Great Atmosphere
The Caoach's place was surprisingly not a sports bar. Food variety offered a wide range of choices....the steaks we had were superb, prepared as ordered and delivered by an attentive, but not pushy server. Wine selection was both broad and fair priced and enhanced our evening, topped off by live entertainment that really fit the room. I simple dinner turned into an evening of great food and fun.

OK sports bar... not more than that
Over-priced, quantity-driven, mediocre sports bar..... Size is the factor that makes people say "wow". Nothing else sticks out. I wonder how the prices are justified. It is a sports bar that tries to take advantage of the name it bears without actually making some good food. I guess it is a 'Ditka' way. Bread was warm. But, the kind of bread served (two rolls of pretzel bread type and a bread stick of some kind, and some flat bread) was disappointing. It pretends to be a fine restaurant. At best, it is a sports bar with big portion meals that is ok. Not worth the money, needs to work on the menu. Some of seafood dishes are poor unfortunately.

Sam is the Best!!
Every time I have been at this restaurant, the food and service have been outstanding!! I visited the restaurant during winter break. The waiter accidently spilled some sauce on my bag. He wiped it up and gave me a free dessert. I was not expecting such courteous service. I did let management know. Whenever you go to this restaurant, ask for Sam. He is a quality waiter who goes out of his way to serve with a smile, was conscientious, and went beyond the call of duty.

pot roast nochos
awesome place to check out i had the post roast nochos and the coachs burger both were great and the amount of food u get is filling and the pricing matchs your meal and hell you got a chance to meet the coach himself and thats worth it stopping in and checking it out right there

Pork Chops Not So Great
We heard that the pork chops were the best in Chicago - not true. Overpirced for an adequate meal.

Yummy Lunch
My husband wanted to go here, and I wasn't expecting much. Was I pleasantly surprised. The food was ample and delicious. My husband and I had the Prime rib sandwich which came with a choice of fries, chopped salad, soup, or fruit (as did the other lunch sandwiches). We chose the salad. My son had a barbeque bacon burger with a cup of soup. All were delish! The prime rib sandwich was lean and tasty. It came with cup of au jus for dipping. The hostess and waiters were all very friendlywe had a great experience. Can't wait to return on our next trip to Chicago.
