Hungry Hound? Chicago's Best? Have you been here yet - if not, you need to go immediately! The food and atmosphere are outstanding. We love to be able to get wonderful dining with a baby/toddler in tow and see other kids at a nice place. We were so estatic to find it at Mia Figlia! The owner and staff are wonderful and their passion makes dining all the more enjoyable. Thank you, one giant, thank you. We look forward to many more enjoyable family evenings at Mia Figlia. (The only reason the food is not a 5 - would be nice if the ingredients were organic/locally grown - maybe they are but nice to have the knowledge of it as that is important to some customers. Homemade pasta is delicious!!!)

Friendly wait staff, five-star food at three star prices, and upbeat atmosphere (with live music). AND: did I mention they have the absolute best, OMG, hands down favorite of all time fabulous tiramisu? Well, they do! Also worth mentioning is they prepared a dish not featured on the menu upon request (chicken parmesan) for my gal pal to take home to her husband. I'm not prone to writing "reviews" (and in fact never have before), but I was truly inspired to do so after last night's dinner. My only criticism is the noise level created by other diners combined with live amped music did make conversation difficult. Perhaps the music could possibly be acoustical to "soften" the atmosphere. This one minus however will not deter me from returning again and again.

This small Italian restaurant has an interesting menu. And if a dish isn't quite what you'd like, the chef will rearrange it. I didn't want gorgonzola cream sauce on my pasta, so I was able to have spicy tomato sauce instead. Only negatives: the place is pretty noisy on a Saturday night. Also at our four person table, one person's dinner arrived about five minutes after the other three. Otherwise the service was excellent without being intrusive and the price definitely was right.

Finally a great neighborhood Italian restaurant in Edgebrook. Five adults went to celebrate an event. We went early and by the time we left the place was packed on a Saturdya night. The salad, bread , coffee, and pasta dishes were all great, as was the chocolate gelato. Wine was reasonable. With a generous tip we were out of there for $200, although we had no appetizers. The waiter was great. Plenty of free parking on the street, near Spokane and Devon just east of Central near Moher's Irish Pub.
