    Great quality hot pizza.

My buddy has been tellilng me his family has been ordering here for many years. Since I can't find any decent pizza in Lincoln Square, I decided to call and BEG for delivery. Marie was "so nice" on the phone and I knew immediately, she cared about my business and I'll bet anything, this place is family-owned. I got my delivery in less than an hour. On a Saturday nite. The pizza was HOT. The soda was COLD. The Driver was courteous (and well tipped). The real genius of this pizza is the quality of the ingredients. The cheese tasted like the WI grade whole milk, low moisture mozzarella the kind that melts in your mouth. The sausage scored the same high marks this stuff is the real deal, "chicago-style" Anacini or Battaglia grade. Thanks for the great service...I am looking forward to my next one : Pepperoni and Green Pepper.

    best spaghetti in town

I have been going to Martino's for 40 years!! It is my favorite restaurant for spaghetti-the marinara sauce is the best I have ever tasted! The owner is very sweet, and the servers are helpful and nice. My daughter and family have grown up on Martino's. I highly recommend this restaurant!

    Definitely worth trying...

Excellent thin crust pizza. Really enjoy the linguine with clams in red sauce as well. Everything my wife and I have tried here has been very good. A nice option for take-out. The decor of the restaurant, however, leaves a lot to be desired.

    Very rude delivery driver.

I had a pretty bad experience with delivery from this place. According to grubhub.com Martino's delivered to my boyfriend's old apartment. We called and they couldn't deliver that far, which is fine. Then once my boyfriend moved, we tried again and this time, they said they would deliver. Woo hoo. We ordered the Four-cheese stuffed pizza. It was decent but certainly not good enough to dignify the way in which the delivery guy treated me. I went down the three floors to get the pizza when he arrived. I open the door and he says "I don't have a pen" and it wasn't in an apologetic or even nice way at all. It was straight up rude, as if it was my fault he forgot the pen. He then came up with me to get the pen, again this would have been fine, if he didn't berate me about how far he had to drive to deliver us the pizza. "Do you actually know where Martino's is located?" is what he said in a tone that implied I was extremely stupid for even thinking to order from them. I explained that both the woman on the phone when I ordered and Grubhub.com was what gave me the impression they delivered to our area. He scoffed and laughed at me and said a very sarcastic "ohhh. Ok.". So overall, the pizza was fine. The price was fine. The woman on the phone, really nice. The delivery driver? Totally mean guy who I should have stiffed on the tip. I guess hindsight is 20/20.

    Consistently Good :)

I've eaten here only ONCE but I order from them all the time and have been for almost 10 years!! I always know what to expect; food is delicious, it is delivered hot and tasty. RC is the best, and you get a liter for free when you order a certain amount. Order takers are friendly, even though they are always busy!! Love them. And they deliver LATE :) good stuff my friends :)

    Great food!

Everything I’ve had so far was great. I LOVE their stuffed artichokes. This is a friendly family style place that has a fantastic menu with items that are hard to find at other Italian restaurants (stuffed artichokes for example). If you haven’t tried Martino’s yet, you should.

Great for food, old time hospitality

Martino's is the kind of place my parents took me to -- and your grandparents may remember, too. It's straight out of the 1950s. The waitresses are like everybody's family, the food ranges from average (good) to great. We love the pizza, though I'm not clear why the earlier reviewer called it "Chicago" pizza; there's nothing distinctively Chicago in the regular thin crust variety. Our favorite items; the Capriese pizza, eggplant parmagiana. The cracker basket on the table includes tasty onion flatbread; mmmm. This appears to be a family business, so may only last as long as the aging folks who own and run it. As their reputation is mainly local -- and you can almost always get a seat, any evening, any time -- they can't be making a fortune. So try Martinos -- if you happen to remember the 50's, you'll love it. If you're too young for that, this will give you a feeling for what restaurants were like way back when. (Except that now (great!) there's no smoking).
