Marquette Inn and Uncle Abe's Deli
I was in Chicago last week and wanted an authentic deli sandwich. I went into Uncle Abe's Deli near the Sears Tower and was told to sit in the back in the non-smoking section. The waitress promptly brought us menus, which said Marquette Inn? I ordered the beef and lamb gyros with beef barley soup. The food was brought out within a couple of minutes. I did not care too much for the soup but the gyro was great. In fact, I could not eat it all due to the huge quantity of meat that was provided! My question is whether the Marquette Inn and Uncle Abe's deli are separate or if Uncle Abe's deli makes the sandwiches? One more comment, please avoid using their restrooms if at all possible. I went down there before the food arrived and all I can say is that their restrooms need to be condemned by the health inspector due to their lack of cleanliness.
