Great experience
I ordered the duck and it wasn't quite the right meal for me but the wine and atmosphere were amazing.

still great after all these years
I had not been to marche in 6 years. After visiting recently again on a sunday night I realized that i still love the restaurant. The only thing that prevents me from going more is that i don't live in Chicago. Nice crowd for a sunday night with well paced service. The snails were fantastic and my skirt steak was tender with a great "meaty" flavor. I hate how i always feel gauged by restaurants in nyc and chicago but my steak frittes were $16.95. I actually felt like they under charge at Marche, how often can you say that about a hip restaurant. found a great syrah blend for $35 ish on the wine list. My date and i had a great time and i highly recommend it. Great design, great food and great service. Not sure how it is on the "big" nights but on a sunday night im not sure i would go anywhere else. well done marche.
