What's a Tosta anway?
And my wife ordered take out from here, so I can't talk much about the service. They seemed like nice folks though. I have no idea what a Tosta is, but I ordered one, and my wife got some chicken Tostatos (which sounds like Tosta and that's funny.) We brought it all home and well... I'm pretty sure I'm going to pull the wrappers out of the trash and lick them again because, holy cow that was good.

It only takes one time...
I usually have great experiences at this place but there was one particular time that turned me off. I made an order for delivery and I was told it would take 40 minutes. An hour and a half later I am told it will take 20 minutes. It took two hours and ten minutes total. I didn't even get an apology. The food was hot but not tasty. It was decent. This place used to be much better but has gone downhill. Don't waste your time here.

Sweet hangover food!
After a long night of binge drinking, nothing does me better in the morning/afternoon like a huge burrito and a cold mug of horchata...

Great Mexican Food
Just really good food, at a really reasonable price. Head and shoulders above the rest.

Maravillas - Best Mexican in Hyde Park
Maravillas has a great selection of semi-traditional Mexican dishes, and a few classic tex-mex favorites. The guacamole is creamy, spicy and top notch, and the chips are clearly hand made, as they often come to the table warm, buttery, and brittle. The only flaw might be the relative lack of vegetarian options, but the avocado burrito and cheese enchiladas always do me right. And best of all, it's cheap.

You'd do better at Taco Bell
Iceberg lettuce, pasty tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese; this place is an homage to small town, midwestern diners who have 'mexican' sections on their menu. The chips are obviously bought in bulk and on discount. I feel unqualified to asses their worth, since I was served them a good two weeks after they were fresh. Overall: an errant disgrace. Pepe's down the road (itself not much to talk about) is many times better, for considerably less investment.

Good Food Slow Service
Maravillas is by far the best Mexican food in Hyde Park. I prefer the variety of burriots and tacos as well as the excellant pico de gallo. The service is a bit slow especially for delivery, but I have always enjoyed the food. A must try!
