I went with my best friend a few days ago. What a disappointment!
The potato pancakes are still like rubber, the knish has gone down, and I was so surprised by the sandwich. You used to have a hard time eating half a sandwich, for they gave you so

Drove in from Elgin and disappointed, corned beef was dry and overpriced. Potato pancake was delicious but also way overpriced. Will not make the drive again. Rye bread was delicious and authentic.

I can't believe they charge $11 for that sandwich. Boy, they are getting over on people.

A true Chicago institution!
This place is amazing! From the corned beef all the way down to the chocolate cake this place is one of a kind. The walls a decked out in decades worth of memorabilia about the family tradition that this place is. A++++

outstanding, a true chicago tradition
Undoubtably the best deli in Chicago. Everything for the sandwiches to soups to salads to deserts. One of their best kept secrets has to be the beef stew. AMAZING! Oh yeah, and their breakfast is amazing too! Definitely worth the drive from anywhere in

And his Matzo Balls are incredibl

Good, but not great
It's a cafeteria-style deli, not a diner. You order at the counter so service interaction is minimal. The potato pancake was good, but very expensive for such simple food and drink (can of Dr.Brownâs). (I did not order a sandwich.) Wish it was koshe

Steam table and sandwiches.
Over stuffed sandwiches, tasty and almost unique steam table items. Go with an appetite!
Great people behind the counter. They help you make your day.
