I just ate the best Italian sausage ever! Let's start from the outside . I'm not a bread man but this was the freshest bread I ever had. The red sauce was fantastic and the sausage was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I can't wait to go back!

Brick Oven Pizza is to die for - the fresh mozzerella cheese is top quality. Told the crust is made w/imported flour from Sicily - you can tell it's different. Salads are delicious. I love their meatballs but not in a sandwich. One disappointing ridiculous thing: You can order a side of meatballs or sausage w/pasta or in a sandwich but you can't just order it by itself. (I wanted to order a salad w/a side of meatballs - I would be charged for the sandwich). Isn't this ridiculous! I didn't want the bread. Why can't you just order a side of it! Never heard of such a thing. Bad business! Come on - change your policy!

went to mangia fresca (6/29/11) after they were featured on chicago's best "cheap eats." prices were great. i ordered the bowtie pasta with pesto and broccoli. pasta and broccoli were cooked to perfection. there was not enough pesto on the pasta. i mean pesto is green, my pasta was still white with specks of green. it looked like pasta was seasoned with italian seasoning rather than topped with pesto. extremely disappointing.

Naturally i had the Breaded steak and it was PHENOMENAL.what more can i say and O by the way the Caesar salad was good too
