Gluten-free
I went with friends who chose this restaurant based on getting gluten-free (GF) for me. The chef was kind enough to come out & discuss what I wanted & how to prepare GF. Atmosphere was good with great service, but recommend going elsewhere for GF. My chicken was over cooked & the pasta (rice noodles -the kind I use doing Asian) obviously not the best for Italian. It was edible especially if you had not eaten much all day because you were saving room for an anticipated Italian. My friends throughly enjoyed theirs. If you are GF and eat there, eat something other than the GF pasta.

Cake to die for
Our small organization went to Maggiano's in Chicago as a get together for many people meeting for the first time. We ordered family style and everything was excellent and plentiful. We divided up the dessert to take home and I have never had such a delicious chocolate cake! It was creamy and moist. Where can I get the recipe. Absolutely EVERY time we are in Chicago, I will try to make it back to Maggiano's and I think it has become the restaurant our group will meet at every year. It was awesome.

Disappointing
The service was very attentive in parts but we had long waits to order our food and more drinks. I had the Garlic Shrimp Linguine - fresh, delicious and very flavorful. My husband had the Lasagna which was a bit dry and not very tasty. The Creme Brulee was delicious but the Chocolate Zucotto Cake was like a cheap shop-bought birthday cake - not good. On the plus side the waiter bought us each a complimentary Scotch and water as the bartender had poured too many for another table! The dining room was busy and had a great atmosphere. We were disappointed overall as we'd been expecting a much better quality of food.

Worth it!
This is the second time I brought my girl to Maggiano's. She fell in love with it the first time we ate there. Great taste, exquisite layout of the dishes and graceful atmosphere. Although it's a little expensive, but believe me if you want to dinning for a particular day, like anniversary or kinda BIG day, Maggiano's deserves your presence. I took her to there on valentaine's day and she was very pleased by the cuisine and, of course, me. We recommand several dishes, Stuffed Mushrooms, Creamy Chicken Potato Soup, Italian Boneless Short Ribs, Famous Rigatoni 'D', Beef Tenderloin Medallions and Tiramisu.

Phenomal Italian Food
More food that you can dream of receiving. Maggianos is more than just phenomal southern Italian food. Italian people forced us to go there the first time for the whole eating experience. We had a jaw dropping experience. Enormous portions..fabulous chocolate cake..bread all the time. Service friendly, quick and accurate. Go just once and you will go back and back and back.
