I just had to write a review after seeing the reviews that were posted. I've been a few times and although the place can get quite busy I've always had great service. I tried to sneak in a quick bite before a movie across tge street and they were extremely accomidating. I would hope to never have to rush there again because the enviroment is super cute very simple but modern classic white and green crisp feel. Food is very original one of a kind very innovative and for tge price ! Amazing. Order tge specials! Order the edon noodles! Order the signiture nigiri ! Great place ! One of my favorites !

I went to macku the day after valentines day with my girlfriend. We have eaten sushi all over the city and both agreed that macku does it pretty well. The dishes were creative and delicious and the prices were average for a quality sushi spot. The only downside was that the service was pretty slow. I don't know if they were short handed or if they just take their time, but if you have a nice bottle of wine and someone good to drink it with, try macku.

Granted we had no rezzie but when a couple shows up at 7:15 and there are MULTIPLE seats/tables open (incl at the sushi bar) why would you turn us away? The very snooty hostess didn't offer for us to wait, order take out or any other creative idea. What a disappointment because we could use good sushi in the hood.
