Macarthur's

I work at an office that the minute you mention MacArthur's you have more orders than you can care. The only thing I wish is you could order ahead with that many orders to give. Thanks for all the EXCELLENT food.

I am from the quad cities and I visited you restaurant on 6/30/2012 I had read your reviews but still wanted to try your food and it was excellent I had the fish and chicken Mac and cheese and carmel cake everything was so good I will be back

I wanted to take a moment and thank and praise your staff for their tremendous job of working with a group of 30 from Aurora University on Saturday, February 11, 2012. I had phoned in two weeks prior to our first visit, and asked if it would be ok to bring a group of that size and I am not certain what I expected, however, what we received was beyond what we could have asked for. A seating area was set aside for us, and the quickness and efficientness of our service was very impressive. Your staff was very friendly and helpful to all of us. None of us had been to the restaurant before, but we will certainly come back. The ease in payment was most helpful to me as the chaperone. My group was quickly fed and very pleased by what we experienced. I know most people take the time to write complaints, but I wanted to stop and send our praises for our experience at your establishment. I am still eating off of my catfish three days later! Many thanks on behalf of Aurora University's Black Student Association. We will come back.

When looking for a caterer for a large event this restaurant quickly came to mind because of the good food. On my second phone calll to the restaurant to confirm and set up the order I was not allowed to speak to my original contact person. I was kept on hold, I called back not once, but twice and was then told by the person answering the phone to give them the order and they would have my contact person to look over it! I have been to this place a few times over the years (take out only) and always enjoyed the food. Not sure how they handle catering but they need to have one professional answering the phone for large business orders.

their food was the best I loved how tender their pork chops were the mac n cheese didnt look so good but it was my favorite side they put their foot in the food I want them to cater my wedding

It's true that you will not get world best service at Macarthur’s, but you will get world best Soul Food.
