I could never say enough good things about MacArthur's Restaurant.

Among the nine items on our plates, all were delicious except the meatloaf. I know I was being adventurous when it was ordered; careful not to think it would taste anything like mine. It had NO taste at whatsoever. My suggestion is to make it with flavor or make it come off the menu

I've been going to MacArthur's for years. The last time I went I ordered perch and red beans and rice. I'm sorry but it was horrible. The fish breading was falling off the fish and it was very dry. The rice and beans had no flavor at all. Some things are okay but most food has no flavor anymore. Maybe the cooks are new.

I visited MacArthur's once and fell in love its the best soul food restaurant in Chicago. The food is AMAZING I could eat here everyday!

I was in Chicago for the All state Gospel Fest and decided to dine at McArthur's Soul Food Restaurant. Travelled from South Bend, Indiana after hearing that the food was really good. When I arrived, the first smell I noticed was the funky smell of chitterlings! I don't eat them so I was not happy. Next there were greens on the menu; but , no greens being served. Wth, no greens? The corn bread muffins were cold and hard. The cabbage had no flavor. The perch was dried out and tough to chew. The ribs tasted boiled. What a let down! Needless to say, I will Not be going back!

I have been a customer for many years, but something very vital to me has changed, and it is the candy yams, whoever is cooking them has completely taken the Candy out and I know longer buy them so please go back to the old recipe I need it with my Mac& cheese.
