Disappointed
I have heard from a friend that Lou's is the place to go for deep dish pizza. We had a large group and the place was busy. Service was so-so. When the pizza came, we had several to choose from. Upon cutting into it, I found that the crust wasn't even cooked through. It was gooey in the middle of the pizza. All I tried were the same. The dough was bland and if it wasn't for the toppings, it would have been a total disaster. I would not recommend it and hopefully will not be asked to go back.

The Best Pizza in THE WORLD
Lou's is the greatest! I travel from Atlanta to get it when I can (the frozen deliver Lou's is great, but its not like being there on Wells St.). Ever since I was a kid, going to the Lincolnwood location with my family I've loved this pizza. Special occasions meant LOU'S! The crust, the sauce, the toppings are the best anywhere and I've had pizza all over the world!

it was okay
I'd never had chicago style pizza other than pizzeria uno on the east coast, and when in Chicago for a week, we decided to try Lou Malnati's. My reaction of the food (the "lou's" deep dish) was that it was "okay". we forgot to order the butter crust, that might have made it better. the service too was okay, it was very crowded and he did the best he could. all in all, it was rather flavorless pizza and i wouldn't go back if/when in Chicago again!

BEST Pizza (and I live in Manhattan!)
I've been to all the famous Chi-town pizza joints. Lou Malnati's is far superior to each one. Make sure to get the butter crust. I have them shipped to me in Manhattan everyonce in awhile. I'm so jealous of you native Chicago people!!

"Ama-Za-Zing"
My group and i visited Lou's on 9/9/07 while attending a conference in Chicago. It was recommended by one of our group who had visited before. It was thee best pizza we all had EVER eaten. We were amazed at the size and aroma of the deluxe pizza. However, after taking a bite and experiencing the extacy of flavors that were melded together our expectations were far exceeded. The crust, oh that buttery crust just melted in your mouth. Our server Lissa was so attentive to out needs. It was quite warm in the restaurant and after being shut down by the hostess to prop open the door, Lissa had us moved upstairs where it was way more compfortable. She went the extra mile to make us happy. I would recommend that if ever visiting Chicago, go, taste, and experience Lou's Malnati's Pizzeria. You definitely wont regret it. Make sure to ask for Lissa.

The Best Pizza in a Great Pizza Town
Lou's has been a bit shadowed by others like Gino's and Uno's which are really good place, but this is THE BEST. Be sure to get the Butter Crust for your pizza. The service can be a bit slow, but the pizza is worth the wait.
