    Deserves To be More Popular

We were brought here by friends who discovered it by accident and were delighted with our meal. We enjoyed everything about it: delicious food; good, friendly service; lovely atmosphere; but, best of all, very reasomably priced compared to some of the Gold Coast/downtown restaurants. We just tried it a second time to make sure the first time wasn't a fluke and again, everything was great. About the only minor complaint I have is the bread which could be tastier. Unfortunately, both times we were there it was very quiet which is too bad because Leonardo's is truly a winner!

    Excellent

The food and service was outstanding!!! The restaurant was comfortable and extremely reasonable. The meatballs were the best I have ever tasted and the caprese salad was delicious. I would recommend it to anyone who loves Italian food. This is the first time we tried Leonardo's and I have a feeling we will become regulars.

    EXCELLENT!.....

EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! Everything about Leonardo's was excellent! As first time diners, we weren't sure what to order from the menu as everything on it sounded appetizing. Our server advised of a few of his favorites and explained how various dishes were prepared. Very attentive service from the waiter, who was wonderful throughout our meal. Not being too hungry and a somewhat picky eater, I asked if they could prepare a simple dish of pasta, roasted vegetables, and a light tomato sauce for me which was not a menu choice. "No problem" was the response. My fiance ordered the 18 Hour Ravioli of osso bucho with a sage sauce. Can I just say that both dishes came out piping hot and were absolutely delicious! My pasta of roasted vegetables was done to perfection with a light crushed tomato sauce. We licked our plates clean (almost - we used the to-die-for bread!). We then had the gelato for dessert which consisted of six large scoops of vanilla, chocolate, and pistachio for $5.00! We then met the owner, Izzy, who gave us lemoncello shots and cappacino on the house for an amazing ending to an amazing meal. We will be regulars at Leonardo's for sure!

    Recent visit to Leonardo's Restaurant.

The food and service were wonderful, as was the the wine. It was a lovely meal at a corner window table, where we could watch passers by. We enjoyed the brick walls and the comfortably attentive service. This restaurant well deserves its high reputation.

    Shh! Don't tell anyone!

...or there'd be a stampede. In short: five-star food for three-star prices. The dishes here are superb and worth twice what they ask, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is lovely. But don't tell anyone outside the neighborhood - if this place gets as jampacked as some of the other great restaurants around here, I'll be a very sad camper.
