Lawrence's Seafood Restaurant

lAWRENCE'S : The best shrimps and oysters anywhere. When was a little girl living in Chicago my parents were regulars. I now have granddchildren ( four generations later) who also love Lawrence's. I haved lived here in Kalamazoo, Michigan for over 20 years and still nothing can compare. The 24/7 is the icing on the cake. Whenever I come home it's Lawrence's. I even travel from Kalamazoo Michigan just to get my fix because I know the doors are always opened. The staff can be a bit abrupt and hard to take but that just might be a part of the charm. The customers are from all backgrounds! That says alot. My parents always stop there on the way to visit me to get pounds of shrimp, oysters, clams and the special hot sauce. They love the frog legs also. The food is still great 3 to 4 hours later again ,no place can compare. My canadian born husband even brag about your food, to all who may visit Chicago. We tell them they haven't experienced Chicago unless Lawrence is part of the trip. KUDOS

Lawrences Fisheries has the moistest juiciest plumpest shrimp this side of the mason dixon line!!! If you are anywhere near cermak and canal check it out. You will NOT be disappointed. The food is great! The help on the other hand could be greatly improved, but the mouthy cashiers can be overlooked, the food is worth it!

ive been raised to be a diehard sox fan an expert on beefs cheeseburger gyros polish sangwiches and such and lawrences is definately a must to any born southsider/ west coast transplant! gotta have it once everyEVERYvisit home. the smell of breaded mushrooms and shrimp and oysters clammms! and their hot sauce; the only thing is crowds and those newcomers to the ways of function at this historical southside landmark! but if you want great seafood this is definately the place! and if it turns out to not agree with ya chinatown is just down the street! win win!
