Real People, Real Food
My children have literally grown up eating Chef Ricardo's food. This is the only place where to this day (my oldest is 18 yrs old) that if I say that we're going to Las Cazuelas for dinner, everyone is on board. Chef Ricardo has a truly natural talent for cooking and pleasing his customers. I would highly recommend asking for him to create something for you that is not on the menu, as his creations never disappoint. Tacos...sure, but you will be delighted if you ask for a "Chef Ricardo" creation. Enjoy!

great mexican food
This is surely one of the best mexican restaurants around. With each trip, I am astonished that the owner remembers what I like. I don't even have to look at the menu anymore! GOOD FOOD, GOOD SERVICE, very clean. If you are looking for mexican food, this is the place you must visit. The specials are amazing and truly authentic. This is where I take clients as well as my family. A must if you are looking for good food.

Magnificent
Compared with other Mexican restaurant in the Chicago area, this is the true secret elegant place, to enjoy a wonderful home made real Mexican dinner. It 's good that a lot of people don't know about it, so they do not loose their touch for truly authentic Mexican recipes, very friendly people, clean and not expensive. My wife loves it! This is definitely a place for people in love.

We loved it.
Great food! Fajitas are simple and fresh, mole was complex and wonderful. Friendly and attentive staff. Cheery and colorful atmosphere. We had a lovely evening.

Fine Cuisine!
This restaurant is amazing. The food is unbelievable and the service is great. It's a little bit on the expensive side but well worth it. I would recommend for everyone to check it out. I give it 2 thumbs up!

Great find!
We have driven past Las Cazuelas on Elston and Lawrence for years, but finally went to dinner. It was terrific. We stumbled onto our new favorite Mexican restaurant. Forget the standard Mexican fare drenched in gooey cheese and red sauce. This is the real deal. Fresh ingredients, interesting entrees, beautiful presentation -- great food from start to end. Expect to pay more than the usual Mexican restaurant, but it's well worth it. I'd recommend it to anyone.
