Just okay
Used to LOVE La Fiesta. The margatitas are fairly good, and the chips and salsa are very good, but the quality of the food has declined steadily. The entrees have major problems. Most are tasteless. I ordered enchaladas suiza and the enchaladas came with an under-melted slice of what looked like muenster cheese on top. I've tried the carne asada and found it to be chewy. Overall, I stick to one chile relliano and one steak taco. Those are about the only decent things on the menu.

I used to love this place
This used to be one of my favorite places to eat Mexican on the South Side. The food is not what it used to be. The service is still great and if it is nice outside, the patio is a nice place to get a table, but I don't think the food is that good anymore.

Not what it used to be...
We were big fans of this restaurant for many years. Things have changed a bit - the servers are as nice as ever, but the overall feel and level of service is different. The biggest difference is that their Margaritas have gone from being the absolute best on the south side to being very mediocre. If it ain't broke, don't fix it - or go cheap on the ingredients!

It's worth your time
If you go, you have to get the carnes an rajas, it's the best thing on the menu. Everything is good but the carnes an rajas is outstanding. I also recommend the taco norteno. Margaritas are always good too.

I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!
We go to LaFiesta AT LEAST once a week - all of the food is really fresh, and the service is great. Prices are VERY reasonable (two of us can eat and get "adult beverages" for a total of less than $30. They also offer take-out service. Great guacamole, and plenty of vegetarian options. During Lent, there are many more meat-free options.

Really weak food and service
The only thing going for this place is it serves alcohol, and is the only decent looking mexican restaurant in the area. The food is average, and is pretty pricey for what you get.
