    Nothing Knew

Nu? Who (K)new?!? read the fine print before getting too excited about this spot. BYOB? Fabulous! but a $5 charge (per bottle!) to "Help us stay green and recylcle your bottle(s)" of wine, water, whatever.... would have come to $30... Chutzpah! ... so we took them home... Priceless! Not making any friends there. They added %22.5 service charge on the post tax price... over the top. Food good. Service professional, but far from the level of Avec, Perennial, or any of several other hip agro-bistro foodie havens. Asked to prepare the venison "as the chef recommends" it came tough and dry, but well seasoned and yummy none the less. Served with 'steamed veggies' aka... 4 green beens stacked like tic-tac-toe. No one else raving at the table and my vegetarian wife immediately went home and made two salads and extra steam veggies. Nice smoked salmon homage to Yiddische brunch with the lox on 'tater basket ala Blackbird birdsnest salad though i missed the egg running. Maybe they are riding the coat-tails of other Logan Square eateries, but they got some work to do...

    Knew is not new

Please re " think" your options before dining here. Food can be creative but service is so poor it is hard to forgive when there are so many better choices

    Loved those who "THINK" bigger!

At what I call the "New Think", I was very please to see Omar reach beyond his old standards engenerized with his "new" creativity. This is a don't miss experience. I always enjoy.
