Katsu is an amazing chef. You will not only find the best freshest and some hard to find fish, but the pieces are big! All fish aside, the rest of the kitchen menu is stellar. Make sure you try the soft shell crab with avocado and yuba. To die for!! It's not the trendy places in Bucktown and Lincoln Park, so you won't see all the 25-30 somethings, because it's not in the thick of usual Chicago action. You'll find the true purists such as Japanese and upper demo clientel who don't mind the car and have discriminating tastes!!!
