    I love Katakana's sushi!

Last night me and a couple of friends went out to celebrate my birthday. We decide to try Katakana, and I honestly have to say it is one of the best restaurants we have been to. The sushi was amazing, you could tell the fish was fresh. The place was very sophisticated, they had great Picasso reproductions. We were allowed to bring our favorite wine, which the waiters were more than gladly to serve us. The waiters we very helpful and polite. I would highly recommend people to go, Katakana has the best sushi!

    My girlfriend best birthday ever

A group of my friends decided to choose a place near our neighborhood to celebrate the birthday of my best friend and we chose KatakanaSushi bar a very sophisticated and elegant and contemporane, salmon and tuna very fresh and exquisite, my friend does not like raw fish, the menu is pan asian katakana grilled salmon filet ecxelente potsticker delicious and another plus is the atmosphere looks like a lounge bar and the best is that the place is BYOB and we saved money and podimos enjoy and order more sushi which provisionally maintain the cool special BOYB for a long time, definitely be back, good desicion, good food, elegant, very friendly service also free special dessert for the birthday person is super sweet we will come back our new spot

    fresh Sushi ever

Just left Katakana and had a great time. My date left a high score! Very impressed. Will we come back? Without a doubt. Already making plans for a weekend with friends. If you go there, try the Miami rolls and the white fin tuna. The sangria pitcher was refreshing and moved us to the patio. My lunch date ended up with me calling in to work and enjoying the afternoon with great company. My rating is 5 stars!

    Ohh my sushi!

Overall rating:I've been to many Japanese restaurants in Chicago but booooooy… this place has gotten near the top of my list at the first attempt. Couple friends of mine and me visited Katakana on their frayday night… and were impressed. Impressed with how unique the place is, with the relaxing atmosphere, with polite and attentive staff and awesome service… and enormous Picasso reproductions on the walls! But most of all we were impressed with the food of course. Their menu attends to a most meticulous taste with huge selection of entrees, appetizers, rice and noodle dishes, rolls and combos. The makis we ordered were outstandingly presented, arrived fast. The best quality fish together with the right selection of ingredients made a perfect combination. Five stars to a new spot in the neighborhood! Great Job

    Hands Up _____Katakana Sushi

Heard of Katakana on web, decided to give it a try, was not disappointed. The food is delish and the music is good and it’s BYOB. Loved the high ceilings and huge TV screen projected on the wall, candles on the windows and all around the place in general, and multiple switching lights. Note: if someone gets annoyed by neon light, or a street light, or a candle light or any light at all-sit next to the wall, because in this place there is A LOT of light of different nature, which is awesome. The starter, the salad and the noodle dish I had were all consistent, fresh and absolutely satisfied my hunger. Also had couple sushi pieces beautifully presented on a plate. Can’t complain either. And the last one: you have to try Katakana Special desert. Ask a waiter before being served. Overall, it was a fun night. Thanx , Thanx Katakana!!! Pros: the best sushi and also the patio is ohhow BYOB
