Jerry's is hands-down our favorite sandwich restaurant. I normally dislike long menus with too many choices, but you cannot go wrong here. Everything is amazing. The sides are fantastic, and the beer list is great and extensive. Service is also awesome. Favorite favorite place ever.

I went today for my 1st and last time to Jerry's. They were busy because of Renegade down in WickerPark. Great that you were busy, but can your staff and kitchen handle that... No! We had a wait to sit down, a wait for a server to even come over to us. Finally we ordered from there menu that is way too huge. (Learning from Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares, great show, huge menus are not a good sign that the kitchen can handle it nor are they great at every dish on it.) About 30 to 40 minutes after actually getting to order. No food! By the way I ordered a salad! Then we realized the table next to us that got seated about 20 minutes or more after us, was eating and almost done. Food came with excuses, blaming it on the kitchen, intstead of owning the mistake of not even typing our order in. Main issue... after all that, the food just frankly wasn't any good. I will not be returning to Jerry's anytime soon. I will make my ceaser salad with cold salmon scraps at home next time!

This is probably my favorite place in Chicago. Tons of sandwich ingredient choices, rivalled only by their beer choices. Haven't been there for the live music yet but looking forward to it.

And this is a pretty large "BUT"... My trips to Jerry's are becoming fewer and further between. Since they've opened in the summer, only ONCE has my order been correct. I wish I had what it takes to just chalk it up and never go back, but sometimes, I want to try one of their daily specials and I end up giving Jerry's another chance. On top of consistent kitchen errors, the service I receive there really is far less than acceptable. I've called in an order and have been on hold long enough to leave my house, walk to Jerry's and start placing the order before they've picked up. I have walked in and waited at the hostess booth to place a carry out order for a few minutes without a single word from the host. What's the industry standard for "greet time"? 5, 6 seconds? I'm really curious to know if I'm the only one who can count on two trips to Jerry's so she can get the sandwich she ordered the first time. Why can't I remember to check the box before I leave? It's always corrected and there's always an apology, but how on earth can they get this restaurant to work? This place is a pain in the

Not sure what happened when the other two reviewers went but I've been a few times now and have had great service and really like the grub. It's called "Jerry's Sandwiches" but it's no ordinary sandwich shop. They have something like 100+ sandwiches (a bit mindboggling) and one of the best beer lists in Wicker Park or Bucktown.

I agree with the above comment. Been to Jerry's twice. Amazing food with a huge selection of sandwiches and beers from around the world. However, while the servers were friendly, both times had to deal with rude and short hosts. Almost bad enough to the point I'd think twice about heading back there considering there are plenty of other good places to eat within walking distance of Jerry's.

I've been here several times. Each time the food has been fantastic, and the service has been poor. Everyone is rude. Get delivery or carryout.
