Took almost 1 and half hours to finally get my order of one dinner and an order of wings/rice. It's obvious that this place is overwhelmed in terms of business and that service suffers because of it. There were people who were waiting in the restaurant for even longer than me. The food is great when it is fresh but the inability to manage time doesn't make this work.

I luv the food, its the best jerk in the state... about 8 years ago I used to frequent another jerk spot on cottage Grove Ave that I thought was good. I tried Jerk Villa one time and have never gone to another jerk place since. I don't like the service. For the food to be that good service shouldnt have to be so poor. Thus, the food I love to hate...

The best Jerk Food around. If you can get past the rude service, you will be overjoyed with your food. From the chicken to the fish, the goat and oxtails, everything is good. Call ahead, they stay busy, but it's worth the wait! I have friends that drive from Bloomington/Normal just for Jerk Villa.... I Love this place!!

My second time in chicago first time to Jerk Villa. Ive ate it twice already since I've been here for 5 days and I fly out tomorrow and will be getting again. The seasoning is on point, I love the cabbage the best. Salad is pre made could be better I would love to add more cucumbers. Everything is made fresh so yes the wait is long, but its worth the wait. I really love this jerk place

Im not sure about these other reviews. Both restaurants deliver amazing authentic food. If you know jerk, you know that in order for it to be great it has too cook slow. I suggest calling orders in and picking them up. Everything is cooked fresh and you get a great value for your dollar. I recommend the chicken of course, but they also have amazing salads, cabbage and fish. And the jerk shrimp is to die for!

I wanted something special to eat with mommy today; and we had jerk chicken, cabbage, sweet potatoes and the red bean and rice, and everything was delicious! OMG!!! Loved it!
