I love this restaurant. The Stew beef is fantastic!!! The jerk catfish is awesome...jerk shrimp it to die for. What I love most about Ja Grill is that unlike other Jamaican restaurants...they don't give u a pound a half of rice and an ounce of meat. The portions and balance of the meals are great. The desserts and drinks are certainly the best. The Rum Punch...i can't even put it into words. The staff and ambiance are the best. Service is timely...AND....on Friday & Saturday they have a dj that rocks it. I LUV JA!!! Did I say I LUV IT....I REALLY DO!!! Tony & Chef...thanks...luv ya'.

Best Jamaican food ever! Everything was awsome! I had chicken curry, my bf had the fish soup, and we split an order of the honey chicken wings and red velvet cake. I think our entire bill, with drinks, was under $50 with (a generous) tip. Service was some of the best I've had in Chicago... Atmosphere was perfect: nothing cheesy... none of those classic Marley tracks everyone knows... wide [select]ion of real reggae, and the interior is dark and sexy with lots of deep red accents, and a huge black iron chandelier . We went back the next day for a late night drink in the lounge with friends and I had the best drink I've ever had.. bartender was super friendly and very talanted. Music wasn't too loud, which was nice. On Fridays and Saturdays they have an amazing DJ that spins old school reggae on real vinyl! I can't rave enough about this place. GO!!
