I came to Chicago to see my brother and we went here to eat. I come from a husband who use to farm and this primerib was awesome. The salads are to die for! I will be coming again!

The food used to be better. They've changed the menu several times in the past couple of years, and they removed Jack's Chicken Tenders(Uncle Jack or something) which was a huge mistake. The new menu is completely unfriendly for children when it used to be a very kid friendly restaurant. Plus, the food isn't as good as it used to be overall.

The food was great, the waiter was not very attentive and we had to request small things like straws and bread which should have been given to us as soon as we were seated. The prices are reasonable, but the seating sucks. I recommend the Hyde Park burger. Also they don't serve steak sauce go figure

This place is a poor represenataion of the J Alexanaders I am used to in Oak Brook. The potatoes are not "smashed" they are mashed at this place. And the rattle snake pasta? they decided that they dont serve that anymore. The chicken was great but the side of mashed was boring. The omelet that one us had was not cooked enough, how do you mess up an omelete? The roast beef sandwhich we couldn't eat, we brought it home to "Mikey" and he tosed it in the garbage. Save your money or make the drive to Oak Brook ILL.

I go to this restaurant frequently. I have tried almost every item on the menu, from soups, salads and entrees, and can honestly say I have never been disappointed. Great service as well, free parking with validation, prices not too bad. Highly recommended!

I heard this place was good so i went with my boyfriend. We both ordered the garlic steak. He didn't seem to mind his but mine was gross. It had no flavor and tasted like they bought it from Jewel. For $20, i thought it would taste a lot better. Server was attentive, but I will probably not be back. There are too many good restaurants in the city to spend my money on a chain restaurant again.

i absolutely LOVED this restaurant. i went a few months ago with my boyfriend who raved about the place. i had never been there so i decided to try it. i ordered the seared ahi tuna and there's only one word to describe it: INCREDIBLE. it was seared raw on the inside and had an amazing glaze on the outside. truly the best food i've eaten in a long time.
