Eh worth checking out for a Special occa
So tonight we ate at this Thai restaurant called "Indie." Well First of all, the food was great and the service was fantastic but the atmosphere was overrated. It looked like a freaking hipster hangout spot! Hence the name "Indie." It attracted a bunch of rich-ass white people who only talked about art and shit. I felt like an outsider with that many white people. Anywho, the restuarant is located on Broadway. You should only go if its a speacial occasion cause that stuff is expensive. I recconmend ordering the Crab Rangoon and the Norigatsu. Skip the Sushi there, they make it without gloves.

YES!
I've only ordered takeout here, so disregard my 'atmosphere rating,' however, if the food and the servers are any indication, I'm sure it's amazing. We ordered for the first time a few months ago and were SO impressed, we ordered again the next night. I've tried the red and green curries, (both fresh and perfectly spiced!) as well as some appetizers. This is the BEST crab rangoon I've ever had... full of shredded veggies to make it not only huge, but much lighter than most. The people I've spoken to on the phone have always been really nice, and the delivery people are quick and friendly. After reading about how busy this place is, I have to admit that that surprised me a little! My friend got sushi and was amazed by the quality. Even the wasabi was fresher than any other she'd had. I highly recommend!

BEST Thai in town!
This is my favorite Thai place in Chicago. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is incredible - especially with the new expansion - and the food is perfect. It's the only place I don't have to ask for my Green Curry to be SPICY. They do it already! Easy to access, right off the red line, and they have a great lunch special!

Great Thai
Wonderful, fresh Thai. Some of the best basil chicken I've ever had.

Panasian in a hip milieu
Indie pays attention to flavor and quality in a setting with a strong design aesthetic. The staff is alert friendly and attentive. The setting is fun and relaxing. I look forward to their getting a liquor license.

One word: wow!
Truly amazing sushi- their specialty rolls are among the best I've ever had. And unlike most combo Japanese/Thai places I've been, both here are excellent. But, the sushi steals the show in my book. A note of warning: this place is not undiscovered- it's made lots of Chitown "best of" lists, so be prepared to wait for a table on Friday or Saturday evenings.
