Amazing - Great Meal!
I took my husband to Il Mulino for his birthday and we could not have been more impressed. It was the best service we have ever had. Before you are even presented a menu, you are brought three different kinds of appetizers (all for free). They took our drink order and then left us alone for a bit to enjoy the appetizers. The waiter and assistants were excellent (and donned tuxes, although men are not required to wear jackets). The food was great and the portions were large. We didn't stay for dessert, but were offered an after dinner drink (for free), which we declined. It was either a sauterne or grappa. The space itself is really cool, it is an old manshion and the room we ate in was very cozy. We absolutely will go back for another special occasion. Also, the pricing was very fair considering how nice the place/service was. We collectively had 2 drinks, shared a risotto as a starter, and each had an entree and the pre-tip total was $137.
