Nice, friendly place
This is a small, friendly restaurant on Oakley Street. Food was excellent and so was the service. I particularly appreciated being welcomed to take our time and stay after our meal was over so that my friends and I could continue our visit with one another. I will come again.

Best Italian Restuarant
The food, service and admosphere was the best. I had the spicy calamari appetizer, baked stuffed chells and the Italian sausage. It was all excellant!

Favorite Restaurant EVER!
Okay - so this is my favorite restaurant EVER! I highly suggest going here. Even if you are a "true" Chicagoan you feel like you are visiting another city. Cute neighborhood and THE best fetticuni alfredo!

Out of the world food!
I love this place! The resturant has such a cozy atmosphere, and the food is great. The pizza is one of my favorites, and the chocolate covered cherries is always a treat!

Grandma's dining room
If you grew up in an Italian family than you would understand my title. This little gem is not at all pretentious and has real down home style food that is excellent. If you want something not on the menu there is never a hesitation, they make it for you. Decor is exactly what I refer to above. It's like sitting in your grandma's dining room. The owner never misses the opportunity to come by your table to see if you are enjoying yourself or if there is anything he can do to make your dining exp. even better. After all the high end Italian places downtown and the food that is over priced it's like a breath of fresh air. Speaking of air if I have one complaint it's that it is always freezing inside with over the top air conditioning so bring a sweater or light jacket. I can taste the thin slice egg plant, crisp on the outside but not mushy on the inside right now.....yum!

Great Pizza - great family place
Tired of Taylor Street, we ventured here and loved it! The thin crust pizza and antipasto were out of this world. The waitress was really attentive and friendly but not annoying. This place has a really great vibe. The owner came and introduced himself to see how we were doing, which I think is always a nice touch. If only they delivered! We are definitely making this a regular hang-out. Great food with reasonable prices.

Ignotz's, for a tasteof Italy
If your in the city and want a nice restaurant for special occasions or everyday fare, Ignotz's is the place to be! The food is made to order fresh and delicious. Among my family's menu favorites are the ravioli, gnocci, lasagna & pizza. And if you don't see what you want on their menu, Ignotz's staff will do their best to accomodate you. Don't forget to leave room for one of their fabulous desserts. Afterwards your check is presented with Ignotz's signature cherries dipped in chocolate, and nestled in a bed of fresh whipped cream. At Ignotz's you are treated like family. The staff is friendly and professional. One of the owners, Roger & Joan, are usually available and always make their way around the room. We've celebrated several of life's milestones at Ignotz's, for it is truly a great little place.
