The best Chinese place on the earth.
I've been a patron of this restaurant for 17 years now and I still simply cannot get enough of this place. Food is absolutely fantastic and for its quantity and value, this place is unbeatable. One of my favourites.

Egg Roll Heaven
Owned and run by a local family for nearly 3 decades, Hunan Egg Roll King is the epitome of what a good Chinese restaurant should be. The food is fantastic, the patrons are wonderful, and the prices are unbeatable. I Just moved to Chicago and the old woman behind the counter immediately welcomed me to the neighborhood and gave me free hot tea to celebrate. She walked me through the menu and explained everything. A small meal will feed 2 people and a large will feed 3 with second helpings. They are quick and accurate, and I'm going to say this again because it bears repeating, the food is fantastic. I try something new every time and I have yet to be disappointed.

Excellent service with great attitude
I will be the first one to admit that I always order for them to deliver. But it's amazing. I've moved from Uptown to Lincoln Square to Andersonville to Lakeview and they have always been willing to deliver my food to me. Excellent food that always comes warm, delicious and with a smile. The lady that pics up the phone is that lady you imagine having reading glasses around her neck with a smile on her face. Just a great attitude. She loves to explain what an item is (if you're curious) and eager to make sure you're happy. Would recommend this place to anyone and will continue to be one of their biggest clients!

Best hole in the wall Hunan and Cantonese in Chicago
Love! The owner is like your favorite adopted Chinese mom. Everything on the menu is spectacular, better than I've ever had in LA, NY and San Francisco.

The Best Chinese Take Out in Chicago!
This place is incredible! I have been eating take-out from here with my family for my entire life, 22 years! My parent's were patrons of the restaurant while they were dating and our family has continued to dine there through all of these years. You really can't beat the price, but more importantly the food is delicious...and always ready fast. I had a friend come and visit recently, who was a very die-hard loyal customer of his Chinese take-out place at home in New York. Since getting dinner from Human Egg Roll King he has refused to go anywhere elseit's that delicious! I can't say enough good things about this place and it helps that the family who owns the restaurant is incredibly nice and knows how to treat both their new and long-time customers well.

I love Hunan Egg Roll King
Not a fancy restaurant by any means, but if you need Chinese food and you have very little money, this is the perfect place to go. The prices are very very low and they have lunch/dinner specials for an even better price. You can get a meal for $6.00. The quality is good for the price so don't expect gourmet...it's fast chinese food. They are very fast! The people there are very nice and I think it is family owned. It's a very small place so I wouldn't recommend dining in...it's more of a carry-out kind of place. Be nice to them when you go there.
