Burnham Manhattan our establishment’s namesake, louis henri sullivan, viewed fellow chicago school architect daniel burnham as a bitter rival and a hack (jealousy perhaps?). this cocktail pays homage to our city’s rye-drinking roots and its competitive nature. old overholt rye, stirred with vya sweet vermouth, fee bros. old fashioned bitters, and a luxardo cherry.   
French 75 this classic aperitif cocktail was created in 1915 at the new york bar in paris. the recipe was said to have such a kick that it felt like being shelled with the powerful french 75mm field gun. our milder version features death’s door gin and lemon, topped with sparkling wine, and meyer lemon bubbles.   
Cinq A Sept cinq a sept (five ‘til seven) were the hours when a parisian gentleman might ‘visit’ his mistress back in the day. the spring cinq a sept is a look forward to the flavors of the growing season, as well as a farewell to a cold winter. to wit... aylesbury duck vodka, lemon pimm’s #1, tart cherry, and thyme honey.   
La Rousse a delicious and refreshing mix of flavors in this cocktail; slightly tart, bright and full of sass. we named it la rousse (the redhead), as it will keep you begging for more, with no explanation why. in the words of lucille ball, "once in his life, every man is entitled to fall madly in love with a gorgeous redhead." cocchi barolo chinato, pierre ferrand dry curaçao, erhart crémant d’alsace, lemon   
Bassin De Latone contructed in the mid-17th century and located in the gardens of the château de versailles, the bassin de latone is home to the latona fountain. this historical site served as the inspiration for chicago's own buckingham fountain. perhaps a couple of these refreshing cocktails might inspire a stroll through grant park for a visit? angostura 1919 rum, housemade grenadine, lime juice, rhubarb bitters, served in a tall glass topped with a bit of ginger ale.   
Henri Presse our house specialty, this sour is a riff on a prohibition era classic, the sidecar. we replace the cognac with both pineau des charentes and rye whiskey and finish with lemon juice, combier orange curacao, and a flamed lemon peel. sweet and sour yet dry.   
Spanish Kiss this cocktail draws inspirations from the unique flavor profile of spanish seville oranges, which are descendants of both pomelos and mandarins. they start on the palate sweet, bursting with orange flavor, and then transition towards a bitter, grapefruit-like finish. this concoction will take you down a similar path, with each sip begging for another. buffalo trace bourbon, cynar, carpano antica, luxardo maraschino, and combier orange liqueur.
