Great food and family
I've been going to Hanabi since I was just a kid, about 30 years now. They are a cute family owned place with great food and prices. Fish is always fresh and yummy. Even if you bring someone who doesn't eat sushi they always help out with great sugestions. This place is small and very casual, but you get the best service and food around. They also have take out.

best family owned sushi value in town
Almost all the sushi restaraunts in chicago get their fresh fish from the same place so the quality is consistent with the larger sushi restaraunts. The service is friendly and they always remember my kids. If you take a date and don't drink sake it's extremely hard to spend more than fifty dollars and still be able to walk out the door. Excellent and creative rolls also very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them.
