Haire's Gulf Shrimp

My daughter and i found this little place last week. I remember the name from a review I read previously. We decided to give it a try, We each had the small "Bomb Bag." It cost $10 and was SO well worth it. It reminded me of the good ol' Whites Shrimp Shop on 71st Street back in the day that my Mom would treat us to. This shrimp was so good, tender, fresh and sweet. The breading was just enough, and it was perfectly seasoned to let the star of the dish, the shrimp, shine. i have found a new "Must Have," and it is Haire's Gulf Shrimp!

My wife and I wanted shrimp but we were tired of the old standard places that have lost all their luster. Through word of mouth we were told about Mr. Haires joint, it's been our shrimp house every since. We have also told any and everyone willing to listen about the quality food being served there. Kudos to you and your staff for a truly superior product.

Perfectly seasoned, extra-light batter, generous portions! What's not to love? You will not be disappointed.

I'm a major seafood lover, but due to a lifestyle change, I have not eaten out in a while, especially fried foods, but I was looking to treat myself to some shrimp one Saturday afternoon. That day, I was nearby one of those "burger joints" that sold shrimp too but even though it was convenient to where I was at the time, I was very hesitant and leery about going there. Just as I was about to give up on the idea of shrimp altogether, a friend of mine hipped me up on Mr. Haire's Gulf Shrimp! Told me if I really wanted to "treat myself", there was only one place to go. Said I wouldn't believe how good the shrimp were. Man, "good", that's an understatement! These babies are Freakin' FANTASTIC! Not only are they lightly battered and perfectly seasoned, the servings are plentiful! And in today's economy where everyone is out to skimp on your orders and jack up their prices, this place is a RARE GEM! You have just GOTTA try 'em! Mr. Haire, Honey, yo shrimp are whats happening! Thank You Thank You Thank You from your newest FAN!

I love these shrimp! For your money, you actually get a nice size shrimp & not all that batter & tail! They are also seasoned very well, no sauce needed!

My husband introduced me to this place when we were dating. At first I thought, I bet this is another rip off of dough and little to no shrimp. To my surprise, the shrimp were a nice size and not full of breaded dough, rather they were perfectly seasoned. The shrimp are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. In the words of my grandmother the cook can "burn". My compliments to the cook and the owner for bringing seafood lovers like me a wonderful treat. Thanks and keep up the great food and service. J.
