Poor Service
We visited here one slow morning and sat for over 20 minutes trying to get the attention of the waitress. It turns out she was waiting for another server to arrive and start her shift; we had been seated in an unattended section! We finally left, unserved.

Good food, poor service
The place is currently being remodeled and so far it looks great. Unfortunately the staff is overwhelmed and cannot keep with the demand. It takes forever to get service or even a menu. Twice I've needed to wait about ten minutes then walk to the counter and ask for a water and menu. The way I see is if you can't meet customer demands, hire more people or don't stay open so late. The only solution is to hopefully have another diner open across the street to give us a couple more choices.

The Best Variety of Foods In Town
I just moved to Chicago from South Boston, Virginia and Southerners know good cooking when they taste it. As a Food Critic, The Golden Nugget Pancake house is the best restaurant in Chicago where you can get everything you can eat around the clock with unbeatable prices. I recommend this restaurant for all tourists to try and any new comer to the City of Chicago. I rate this restaurant a. Five ***** on my list.

Best Breakfast in town
Always busy, busy! But worth the wait. A diner atmosphere. Have mixed reviews on service but worth it anyways. A 'greasy spoon' kinda place in my opinion. I think Guy Fieri should visit for Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives. We are from Ohio but eat breakfast @ Golden Nugget every time we come to Chi-town!!!

spaghetti at 6am
it was a great restaurant to go to when i had my cravings at 10pm for waffles and 6am spaghetti. also when i used to work third shift and didn't want breakfast for what was my dinner. good food at cheap prices and the waitress and busboys were always nice and attentive.

Got what I paid for...
the place isn't all that great but hey, nobody said it was going to be the next Charlie Trotter's. The food was decent and was a good value. I would recommend it for late night dining. :)
