My favorite diner in Chicago
The Golden Apple is legendary. Just walk in there and you'll know what I mean. There are two seating areas, one in the front and one in the back. Don't even bother with the back. Sit up front, preferably past midnight, and just watch. The regulars are there. They're there and they're loud and excited over whatever is on TV. The waitresses are textbook 24 hour diner ladies, but really really nice and very interestingvery much conversationalists. You feel like you're in a movie when you're there. The food...it's exactly what it needs to be. I love this place. Long live The Golden Apple.
