Could not decide. I grew up in Chicago on Uno Pizza. We wanted deep dish and I finally chose Gino East from recommendations on locals. Some of the other pizza places have a thicker crust which was not what we wanted. Be advised that when you order it will be about 45 minutes till the pizza is delivered and they will tell you that. But I was surprised that the pizza was better than I remember from 10 years ago( my last visit to Chicago). Order the pizza supreme with the sausage, the pepperoni and assorted vegetables. The small was 4 slices and with a salad it was more than enough for 2 people.

I have lived in Chicago for 52yrs. Grew-up eating Lou Malnati in Lincolnwood since the day they opened. I had never had Ginos Pizza in all these years. I was in the area & stopped in for lunch for a deep dish pizza. I ordered the individual pizza lunch special. Deep dish spinach, salad & a soft drink. The salad was terrific, large, cold, fresh, but I ordered the italian dressing which was the House, it was so tart I asked the waiter for an alternate. He responded with "Honey Mustard is REALLY sweet and suggested the Ranch". The Ranch was perfect. The Pizza came the size was perfect. I took my first bite, then a second and by the third I decide that was enough. I was so disappointed in the crust. It had a deep yellow appearance, may be corn meal which I like, but was not tasty. I looked around, I was surround by out-of-towns, I thought I hope they do not think this is what CHICAGO DEEP DISH taste like. The check came for the drink , salad & pizza it was $5.99. The price was very cheap but the pizza was a waste.
