Fantastic place
On a recent weekend in Chicago I made this my first night dinner spot. Very glad I did. Got there at 9pm on a thursday and it was packed. Got a seat at the bar and was treated to wonderful service immediately. Mark the bartender was a funny, outgoing guy and really kept the big crowd entertained. I wasnt overly hungry and ordered only the 13oz NY sirloin and a baked potato. A huge salad and exceptional bread started me off. I was alone so sports tv and a lively crowd kept me entertained. The steak was perfect as ordered and delicious with a great crust. Over all it was very good meal and experience. Will definitely be back on a future trip.

Yum
Went to Gibson's for a holiday party - from the minute you walk in until you leave - service, restaurant ambience, and quality of food is SUPERIOR! I felt like a princess - staff is attentive and very nice. Food quality was unbelievable! My filet mignon was fork tender. While a little on the pricey side, it's worth every penny. Will definitely go back

Consistently delicious
So delicious! My husband and I discovered Gibson's by accident on a prior trip to Chicago. We have been thinking about it ever since and never found a steakhouse quite as good. We visited again and were concerned it wouldn't live up to our memory. It was every bit as good as we remembered. Portions are large and most things can be shared. The waitstaff is very friendly and guide you through. They were even kind enough to tell you when you may be ordering more than you could consume (again based on portion size). Will go every time we are in Chicago!

Overpriced in Chicago
overpriced overpriced and overpriced for the steak quality. portions ... the baked potato had to be on steroids ... fill you up on the sides. good salad.

Best Steak I have Ever Had!!!
I have been working in the restaurant industry for over 7 years now. Never in my life have I had a better steak. The steaks served at Gibsons are (to my knowledge) grass fed Mid-Western Beef. The beef was extremely tender and cooked perfectly. The Pecan Pie was also incredible. This place has the same kind of feel as a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, but the food is 10x better. The waiters walk around in butcher coats (clean) and show you the cuts at your table before you order. I will go back every time I visit Chicago.

Forget the ribeye
For what you pay, this place is horrible. the atmosphere is not suited for the price you pay. it feels like eating in a sports bar... but that's not even the worse. what i really did not like was the waitress lying to my face... I did not see ribeye on the menu so i asked her if they had a ribeye. and she said yes... and said that it was the "special".. well, the steak finally came (overcooked i might add) and had no traces a fat.. it was like a sirloin. so just horrible... this place is just horrible. i will never be coming back to this place... ever.

My second attempt
I am a once a year visitor to the Chicago area, after 2 years in a row of raw steaks being served when I ordered medium, I'll find a new place next year. Even after the waiter brought a nwhole new steak, it was raw! Good people and service but the food was lacking big time-
