    nieghborhood landmark

Gale Street has fabulous ribs - some of the best my family has had. Because it looks a bit outdated I think my surburban friends and family were at first disappointed but then surprised with the quality of food not to mention the service is always great. The atmosphere needs a redisign. The dining area is just one big room and we're always seated by the bathroom which is also in the dining room so not much privacy there.

Gale Street Inn used to be a great restaurant in Jeff Park. Now it just an expensive restaurant in Jeff Park. For the price the food is just okay. Nothing special on the menu, ribs, steaks, chicken etc. There are much better restaurants in Chicago to spend this kind of money on.

    Best ribs EVER!

Iv'e eaten ribs at many places across this great nation of ours, but never have I experienced anything like Gale Street Inn ribs. In one word, "PERFECTION". Same goes for the atmosphere and service. These are good folks who love what they do, feed you and put a smile on your face. Which by the way will probably have a little BBQ suace on it!

    yum

I am new to Jeff Park, but when I was moving many people told me about Gale Street Inn. The ribs are delicious and so is pretty much everything else. The only thing I did not like (and neither did my friend on a seperate occasion) was the breaded shrimp. The service is fanyastic and you feel very welcome. I think for what you get (real food) it is a good deal. The atmosphere is OK. the bar is cool and they have live music but the rest is just functional tables and chairs, which I hve no problem with:)
