Authentic Dim Sum on the North Side
On Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, the upstairs of Furama is packed with locals (mostly Asian) enjoying traditional Hong Kong style Dim Sum. Having lived in Hong Kong for Years, I was surprised my my wife and I discovered VERY authentic and reasonable Dim sum right down the street. Some of our favorites include the "Dan Ta" Kind of like Mini Creme Brulet pies, Barbecue Pork Buns, Spare Ribs, and Fried Rice Noodles. Just like in China, they push the carts around with a variety of food options. They just mark off on your card what you eat and, in the end it's a surprisingly affordable way to dine. Very Family friendly. Better to go with a group so you can try more items.
