Overall, my husband and I do love this restaurant and will keep coming back. They've changed the overall menu in the past eighteen months or so--I don't mind that the serving sizes at lunch have been reduced but I do mind that some of the variety seems to have been lost. Smaller portions of what's offered at dinner perhaps? Distinguish yourself from other sandwich shops and return to the northern Italian trattoria style that my stepfather was so impressed with in August of 2013. That said, brunch? Fun. Not all perfect: Noisy. Crowded. Harried staff. Yes. But I'm fussy about my eggs and my brunch, and Francesca's Forno got the eggs just exactly to my liking despite being SO busy. Please bring back the Arancini Benedict and the Artichoke Benedict, though don't worry. We're not going to stop coming.

The food was nice, and the atmosphere 'lively' to say the least. It was very loud, but we didn't mind as the neighbourhood of Wicker Park is known for its nightlife, especially on weekends. The ricotta antipasto was tasty, the bread was solid and the pasta dishes were very flavourful. The service was friendly and attentive.

The food was very good. I really loved the garlic butter that came with the bread. However, they really pack you in and with the wood floors, it's very loud. I found it hard to hold a conversation with the person right across the table from me. And this was on a Tuesday night when it wasn't that crowded.
