No Joke! Fox's Thin Crust is Great!
Fox's has several locations and all serve great food. This one is the closest to a small Irish Pub, made somewhat larger in feeling with a nice remodeling job a few years ago that included nice bay windows that open out the window seats and the size of the restaurant. The thin crust pizza is terriffic. Once in a long while it comes a little greasy on top, but that is why God made napkins. This is pretty rare though. The thin crust is nigh on perfect and the Fox's special has kept me ordering there for many years. The atmosphere is wonderful, the feeling intimate, there is always a game viewable up at the bar but you don't hear it at the wooden booths. The place has reguars going back 50 years or more because it is a Family business in the true sense of the word and it is a great place to run into old friends walking in, or to make new ones. They do not take reservations and you could get crowded out but they have a fleet of heated trucks and home delivered Pizza is always hot. They have lots of other food, the Chicken and Philly beef is always excellent. The steak is great. I would say their only weakness is the mustaccolli and that is only because I feel it is underspiced. But if you add your own salt (and I think it is served that way due to the age and diet needs of many of their customers) it is fine. Their Pub at 93rd and Cicero is much larger, features live music on some nights, and has a huge fleet of trucks. If you have a crowd to take out that's the place to go. But the Beverly Pub is the one for a quiet conversation with your girl or a few close friends. In the ranking of Beverly Pizza Places Fox's is Number 1 for Thin Crust beating Giordano's. For Medium Crust I have always preferred Chuck's Pizza at 102nd and Western which has a much chewier crust but can be much greasier on top. Chuck's has not seating, but many will prefer Milano's at 109th. Giordano's wins for deep dish. It is carry out only too. But I tend to order Fox's more

One of the best Southside Pizza's
pleasent southside feel with the taste of a great pizza and other food items. Also a great caterer.

Fox's Pizza
Fox's Pizza is a South Side institution. Pizza joints on the SS are extremely good, and Fox's pizza is one of the best. We order for pick up or delivery and we are never disappointed. The italian sausage pizza is probably the best around. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
