The food is good, plenty of it. Service is good and price is good. But if you judge a place based on its butter they supply with the bread, you may want to look elsewhere. It's sometimes foiled....sometimes whipped. Not my kind of place.

I posted that they had changed their type of butter. They are now back to the original foiled wrapped butter. Everything else is still great and at very reasonable prices

My wife and I usually went to Fox's 3 0r 4 times a month. They changed the butter type and it sucks. The last time we went, the bread was like rubber. I don't know why they changed the foiled butter to whipped (I suspect that it's cost effective for them) but it cost them at least 6 dinners a month. Don't change a winner

Gotta love Fox's! I've been hooked on the pizza since childhood and will probably never stop. Quality is almost always great, as is the service. Wish they were open at 2AM like the old days!

I have been to the Fox on Western, and the service was great but not this one. I really thought this was going to be a great experience however it wasn't. The waitress took to long and seemed dinterested in us as a customer. We ordered two drink and one were really bad and when we wanted to exchange our waitress, instead of changing it she walked it over with her co workers and talked about it instead of making sure we the guest were happy. Sadly it did'nt stop here when we informed her we were leaving and paid for the other drink she very ruddly handed us the change. She did not in any way try to see if she could win us back her nor the hostess. I will never recomend this place to anyone.

Pizza favorites are all over the place. (Beverly) Fox's other menu items are really good values with large portions and has some real gems. Their lake perch is superb cooked how you like-deep fried, pan fried or broiled. Better than DiColas. They overcook their other white fish though. They are diverse with their pastas. Their angel hair a la olio with tomato and basil is a real suprise. Their basic meat (bolognese) sauce is up there with the best of them. Sandwiches are a bit heavy on the bread. The Fox's Philly is really good, particularly if you add sweet peppers which don't come with the basic sandwich. Their Italian sauage is unique with an anice aroma. You can smell it blocks away. It is not just a pizza add on. On top of this they have alarge carry out menu. A really great neighborhood tradition.

When I was in Ireland in 1983, I met some women with "southside Chicago" accents in a gift shop in Killarney . I recognized their accents because I have one too, having been born and raised on the southside. It turns out the women were waitresses from Fox's Pizza on Western Avenue. I told them that I had Fox's Pizza running in my veins as I had been eating their pizza since the 50's or 60's. It was great meeting those women from my favorite pizza place while I was in one of my favorite places on earth - Ireland!!
